LG Optimus 2X user review

Hello everyone today I wanted to write my opinion about this fantastic product of LG.
First of all I would like to mention the envy of the great dual-core processor that makes this product
really quick and responsive.

The display 4-inch capacitive type is really well done with excellent brightness, not to mention the 8 megapixel camera with a powerful LED flash which is also capable of filming video in full HD.
Even the battery is very good and despite the weight of a dual core very favorably.

Another great feature, and to have a mini-HDMI input so you can also connect to other devices. The operating system Google Android works seamlessly and the interface developed by LG, and very beautiful.
I was very pleased with this achievement and I would recommend to all

Are not particularly high, the battery capacity, which is 1200 mAh and the brightness of the display.

HTC HD7 user review

This is the new smartphone, revised and corrected the house Taiwanese HTC, smartphone call but I would say that is little gadgets as this is considered a jewel of technology.
For one thing strikes you immediately to the large display, which puts him almost halfway between a phone and a tablet (but lighter: only 162gr.).
Ben 4.3-inch full touchscreen capacitive, very bright, high resolution (480×800 pixels), so as to make it almost a mini TV, thanks to the support lever on the back of the phone can be used as base of support. As a result provides excellent navigation and high performance internet for XBOX games at the highest levels of both graphics hardware, among the best in its class.

The ‘HD7 HTC supports OS Windows Mobile 7, which has proved extremely reliable and stable, although you still need to be perfected. Completing the technical QSD8250 Qualcomm 1GHz processor, 576 MB of RAM and 8GB of onboard memory, making it a smartphone HD7 high performance.
Windows 7 offers a host of standard applications, made easier by the multitasking feature of HTC allowing a quicker consultation and management more intuitive.
The phone’s home screen is customizable and through the ‘HTC HUB you can access a variety of content such as games, galleries, etc..
Returning to the display, capacitive touch screen is very sensitive and can write with the qwerty keyboard on the screen with the utmost precision, both in portrait mode (ie vertically with a hand), both in landscape (horizontal), simply by turning the phone (thanks to a prodigious accelerometer)

Excellent connection system that includes HSDPA (High-Speed ??Internet), Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR, WiFi and MicroUSB 2.0.
After a brief trial in internet browsing, I realized the actual high level reached by this model HTC, the very limits of perfection.
The default browser is Internet Explorer 7 for Windows Mobile, and does not need to add more …

Let the other functions.
L ‘HTC HD7 has a 5MP camera with autofocus and dual LED flash, very powerful, allowing you to take good photos and HD video in low light or nighttime conditions.
Then there is the AGPS navigation system is also very fast and reliable even in the absence of a supporting software, supported by Bing Maps.
Not many other additional applications in addition to the standard Windows 7, but you can download at will from the Store.

We want to find a flaw? Well someone is there, but small.
Battery life 1230 mAh lithium. The use and application of the powerful operating system in fact is considerable expenditure of energy. But if you use the phone with the necessary precautions the problem does not arise.
Another point against him is the sound quality that honestly I expected more in a clear and powerful smartphone that.
Which also means design? Accustomed to the style Nokia, HTC this is far less graceful, but then, given the scale, there was little to “taper”.
In conclusion, I believe that the ‘HD7 HTC is one of the best smartphone superaccessoriati in circulation and I admit that I had to change my mind about this brand, which has never met my favor in the past.
The price at the moment is rather altino, between 500 and 400 euro, but will come down soon, because competition is agguerritissima. However, in my opinion, at the moment, they all deserve.

The fotocara 5 mpx helps keep the price high and the excuse for the rest you can use this smartphone to surf online and take advantage of its excellent ability to connect wirelessly. Great new negative, the battery lasts very little and not get in any way to last a whole day. The benefits are many, but it’s frustrating all the same.

EXPERIENCE AND COMMENT
This phone is ok but really started to get tired of these high prices for the functions remain normal. I do not understand why such a price for not talking about at least a 10 megapixel camera with flash and a battery that reaches at least 20 hours of talk time.

The price is definitely too high and the only real benefit of this phone is a perfect quad that is almost always receptive and can always be found. Recommended for those who can afford it.

Nokia N810 Internet Tablet user review

It’s revolutionary but only for those who can ‘appreciate the chance to’ have a linux-based operating system, a terminal at all times.
It is a device that is “cool” for so long, perhaps for years, given the eclectic ‘of its operating system: maemo which allows installation of many programs (skype, amsn, ettercap, abiword etc). in addition to the integrated browser. No phone or smartphone can ‘offer the same performance: it is a real PC. NOT have a phone module but has wifi and can ‘be considered a “voipfone” cam and unparalleled web browsing. those who have tried linux for a short time knows the importance of finding such a device on the market
as above (n800) and next (n830).
learn to use in our favor, “computer science” will be free and secure ‘the prerogative of the near future …… with this we can learn.

Motorola Defy MB525 user review

The robust (rugged American) meets intelligent. We are facing a standard cliche Italian comedy, or good looking, American, but it can work for a phone? I have dealt at this smartphone from Motorola, the DEFY (MB525 or Italian version) and the conclusions, it is to cross your eyes.

FORCE

The phone’s outer shell is made of plastic slip, with an excellent tactile feedback that gives a feeling of unexpected strength and confidence between the fingers. New to the phones of today, which I think seem more soap than anything else. Available in two versions, one completely black (my favorite) and a white / black, which can attract fans or lovers of optical detail, which, remember, is not the strong point of this phone. We are facing a cellular solid, incredibly solid, and I will explain later why, but also beautiful. Because if the soap has to look tired, this return to the taste “strong”, like, really like. It is not just about looks outside.

Motorola says that this phone can take water to be lost in a lot of ground (or dust in his pocket), to be forgotten along with the house keys and stay perfect. Working without a scratch.
After all, the small caps in soft plastic cover I made for charging, and all the physical buttons (located on the edge of the body) are perfectly aligned with the body itself, so that even if the pressure does not create loopholes.

Want to see that Motorola is telling the truth? This phone is a tank.
- I confirm I have personally witnessed the test drive of the phone to an event of Radio 101 (Quote 101). Awesome. The phone covered in sand, snow, rusty keys, immersed in water, hot tea, continued to operate, and indeed to CALL! Amazing.

DIMENSIONS
The screen is longer than an iPhone. Motorola has done a great job of reducing the size of the device down, do not stay too full, in spite of its internal components.
The size of the phone enables customers to keep the phone in your pocket, in spite of some “frying pan” incredible. “Measures 107 x 59 x 13.4 mm and weighs only 118 grams. The screen features touch controls with shcermo capacitance, with which of course you can easily reach the main characteristics of the device with a few taps. The screen looks like a great feature in people’s hearts and DEFY does not betray the expectations. Some of the highlights of the screen are the Gorilla GLASS, which keeps the screen protected scratches without additional films and anti aesthetic. Other highlights include the multi-touch input, the proximity sensor, auto-off sensor and accelerometer automatically rotates the user interface.

The display occupies almost the entire front of the device. I waited for a screen with no bezel edge to edge and this is the closest I’ve seen. The display resolution of 854 x 480 puts it in direct competition with much larger samples from the price. An example in the house? Droid 2. Absolute top of the range.
Here comes the SMART
The challenge along the line of a 2.1 with Android MOTOBLUR, until you update to 2.2 or 2.3. My thoughts on this setup is fairly simple: it works fine. The customization is there, available to everyone at the touch of a finger, allowing users to add widgets anywhere. Functionally, it is a very simple way to get users, experts and otherwise, to use the widget. In short, it works well for everyone.

If you are a fan of social networks, social networks, etc., etc., is already in the device can connect to MySpace, Facebook and Twitter. You can also access YouTube, Gmail, Google Maps, Google Search and Google Talk and all the GPS navigation software, with support A-GPS
The challenge continues in the hardware. DEFY has a 800 MHz CPU chip instead of 1 GHz, as is now used to seeing. The camera is 5 megapixels. Both features are good but not great. The camera can capture video at 640 x 480 resolution and 30fps with this firmware 2.1 and will reach 720p in the next update. The video was smooth and the camera seems more suitable for situations of intense light, without being particularly lacking in other situations. This is a decent composition, pretty good, but not the state of the art.

Just to be technical, I repeat myself a moment: it offers a 5 megapixel camera that combines well with the power of an LED flash, autofocus, image stabilizer and geo-tagging. The camera has a resolution of 2592 x 1944 pixels. As a music player that can read MP3 / WAV / WMA / AAC + for audio sector, while video playback is guaranteed by the reading of files MP4 / WMV / H.263 / H.264.
Note considerable: Stereo FM Radio with RDS provides an added benefit music lovers, who often forget other houses.

Motorola DEFY has a good base memory. The phone is equipped with no less than 2 GB of internal memory, expandable to 32 GB via microSD card.

Summary

This phone is a good product in all respects. This is his forte, he is able to own everything. If you live at the forefront of technology will seem silly, but this, I guarantee, is the phone you’ve been waiting for Android. Size, tentua in hand, components, build quality, resistance to everything and a price that is not the same band comparisons.

In general, I liked this phone. This would be a great first smartphone.

Aesthetically speaking, the new model HTC Touch2, which is also called the T3333, does not add or detract from the design features that have long supplied the so-called smartphones (and now also true that many phones are inspired by the palm). The structure therefore is the standard one-piece or, if you want to insert the device between mobile phones and classified according to the usual fees, the advantage of HTC Touch2 is to not have to include an external keyboard or a large number of buttons and sliders, since that by controlling the touch screen you can access all resources. HTC Touch2 user review

The HTC Touch2 is an affordable (£280ish pay as you go) Windows Mobile 6.5 phone. It is a small and compact phone and unlike other high end handsets weighs only 110g. Despite being made from plastic the phone looks very appealing feels solid in your hand. The 2.8” screen is very sensitive which makes using the phone easy. There is a touch sensitive bar below the screen which is used to zoom in and out while looking at picture and surfing the internet. The phone comes with My Phone which is an online syncing service that lets you back up your pictures, contacts ect. The phone only has 512 of ROM but can be expanded using the SD slot. The HTC Touch2 is charged via miniUSB port located on the bottom and there is a 3.5mm jack is on the top.

One of my favourite things about Windows Mobile is the wide range of applications. The phone comes with Windows Live, Facebook and YouTube applications preinstalled but it you can download more using the Windows Marketplace application.
The battery life is pretty bad. I found that I have to charge it up every night but I think that’s normal for this type of phone.

The 3.2MP camera performs very badly, especially indoors. The camera lacks auto focus, flash or a dedicated camera key and if you have a shaky hand then your pictures are going to turn out very blurry.
The phone doesn’t turn to landscape which can make texting a little awkward. You can chose from three different keyboards but it is best to use the stylos when texting on the full qwerty as the buttons are very small.

Some of the features on the phone are quite plain and boring. For example, the calendar is just some very basic colours and straight lines. This is also the same for the contacts , inbox, texting screen ect.

LG GW620 LinkMe user review

This is one of LG’s newest phones. The LG GW620, otherwise known as the LG InTouch Max is proving to be a popular buy for many phone customers across the United Kingdom. This is partly to do with it’s easy to navigate Android Interface, but also because of the T-Mobile tariff that it is currently available on.

After recently having problems with the phone company ‘3,’ my girlfriend decided that it was time to change her phone and the company that she was with. Despite a long arduous phone call with ‘3′ that lasted almost one hour she finally managed to get a quote on a termination of contract fee. As I have been with T-mobile for the last two years and also have relatives who are T-Mobile customers, who haven’t had any problems with them, I recommended that she joined up with T-Mobile.

When we entered our local T-Mobile shop in Canterbury, she was asked what she wanted in a phone and roughly how much she wanted to pay. Being a student it was imperative that whilst the phone had the latest gadgets and gizmos, it had to be at a relatively cheap price. So she was shown the LG InTouch Max (LG GW620).

The T-Mobile Tariff entitles the customer to 300 minutes, unlimited text messages and unlimited Internet access for just £15 per month. This seems like a very good deal as it is cheap and as my girlfriend is more of a texter than a phone caller, this definitely suited her.

Appearance

This phone suited her perfectly, partly due to its appearance. Although it is a little chunky and slightly heavier than many of the new phones that are created today (most notably the HTC and Blackberry phones), it looked as though it had certainly been designed for the girls, perhaps due to the curved edges, perhaps not but it definitely feels like more of a girly phone.
The keyboard slides out very easily whether the phone is being held vertically or horizontally and then as you turn the phone to use the keyboard, the interface of the phone also turns to suit your needs. The keyboard itself is also set out in the typical qwerty keyboard manner which makes it easy to use and due to the medium to large size of the phone, the keys on the keyboard are also of a decent size to ensure that typing can be carried out quickly and easily.

The back of the phone is plain in nature but that is identical to most phones, all you can see is the 5 Megapixel camera lens, the camera flash and the LG Logo neatly displayed towards the bottom middle.

Specifications

As I said earlier the phone is perhaps a little on the large size, however it is still by no means what customers would call a ‘brick,’ sizing at; 109 x 55 x 16 (mm)
It’s 5 megapixel camera also allows for clear, cut photographs that do not come out blurred and show great detail and accuracy. This also comes with a camera zoom and a flash and a video camera setting. This is always something that I have wanted in a phone but often had trouble finding. However I have noticed that HTC phones also have decent cameras now.

This phone also comes with it’s own mobile broadband but you can also connect to your own wireless router (if you have one). This allows the user to go on to the Android market and download an endless amount of applications, from barcode scanners, to games, to books and many more. Many of these are free but some do require a charge.
This phone also comes with it’s own built in satellite navigation whereby it can be used as a much cheaper verion of the otherwise expensive Sat-nav products such as the Garmin.

The phone also comes with a built in Bluetooth system so that users can send pictures and other items to their friends and family and can even be synchronised with the PC to enable you to store pictures, videos and messages in an alternative format.

The LG InTouch Max also allows for up to 8 hours 40 mins of talk time. With a Standby time of up to 500 hours yet charging only takes around 3 hours and 30 minutes.
One downside that my girlfriend has noticed about her phone is the lack of battery power. Although the battery is meant to last for a long time, as she was told at the shop, she often finds that she needs to charge it at least once every other day. This to me is definitely a large downside to a phone as battery life is something that I feel is quite important.

For entertainment, the phone comes with a built-in FM Radio player and it’s very own audio player so that the user has simple methods of listening to music and watching videos.
It has youtube built in to allow for simple access to the worlds biggest video watching site. The internet browser is also simple to use and is set out much like that of the Internet Explorer browser, you can even open new tabs and zoom in on information to find what you want.

Conclusion

Overall my girlfriend is very pleased with her phone. Despite the rare grumble of its short battery life, it has everything that she wants in a phone and for a cheap price. With an easy to navigate interface and a seemingly everalsting amount of free applications to play around with, it would seem almost impossible to get bored with the LG InTouch Max.

Although I give this four stars, it is a five star phone however the short battery life is something that I feel it should be downgraded for.

Samsung SGH-i900 Omnia user review

I received my Samsung Omnia just over a month ago and to date it has been as impressive as the first day. It has many amazing features which i will explain later. However do note that samsung have not released the latest firmware for the phone, so some features you may have seen or heard about with the phones software may not be accesible unless you find and install the firmware update like i did. If you love using a PC, this is THE phone for you.

Apparently the term Omnia means ‘Everything’ in Latin, and ‘Wish’ in Arabic, so the expectation associated to this new generation Samsung handset is pretty intense. Do we expect this handset to deliver on its foreign interpretation, or did somebody at Samsung get a new translator for Christmas? I’m sure we’ll find out pretty quickly.
By the time i had read through the ‘old testament’ style specification and features glossary, i was beginning to think i was on the verge of something special, an epiphany if you will. The actual first impressions of the design however were slightly different, as a second take was required to decipher whether or not I had been presented with a Samsung Tocco, on steroids.

However, the Samsung Omnia is presented in an extremely sleek black gloss finish, and actually only measures in at 12.5mm thick. Not bad considering an N96 is over 7mm thicker. Go back to the land that time forgot, when the touch screen mobile phone was little more than a fallacy and initial attempts at touch operation floated like rocks. I for one remember trying skimming an old Samsung E900 across the English Channel after giving the handset an intense jabbing , with a cattle prod. The Samsung Omnia’s touch screen though is so rich, intense, and reactive, whilst the 3.2inch screen is hugely refreshing and actually enjoyable to use.

The birth, or realisation, that main stream manufacturers can make money from smart phones started over the last couple of years, but nothing really came close to mass appeal until the I-Phone, and more recently the HTC Diamond. Both handsets have great appeal for their own ‘unique’ qualities, but the Samsung Omnia is truly a class above the rest thanks to its awesome Opera 9.5 web browser, that believe it or not, makes mobile web browsing tolerable.

The applications contained within the handset seem to also have purpose, and the ShoZu client Google packages gives great Google Search and Gmail response. The Omnia has a custom built A-GPS satellite navigation that uses wi-fi or 3G networks to give a much faster start up time, which is great when using the feature in your car. Unfortunately though, the Samsung Omnia doesn’t have a built in GPS application, so you will have to buy that, but Google Maps arrives onboard to get you started. Nothing quite like showing your friends your car is still in the drive on a night out.

Ultimately though this is a handset that screams high tech advancements, and the touch screen interaction is smooth and effortless. This might actually be the first Windows Mobile PocketPC that crosses the sunny waters to integrate as a multimedia entertainment device. Incidentally, we managed to watch a film on the Omnia on a recent train journey, using part of the phones gigantic 16GB memory, and the quality was terrific.

Just to round things up, as we do have limited space, the Samsung Omnia also has a 5 mega-pixel camera, built in radio, Pocket Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, OneNote, PDF viewer), Microsoft Windows 6.1 Professional, and up to a 16GB memory.

Rim Blackberry Curve 8900 user review

I had been contimplating buying one for a while but neither the bold nor storm appealled due to the size and the fact it looked too complicated to use. However as more and more of my friends got the blackberry (and the fact I have too many friends abroad) it seemed like a really quick and cheap way of keeping in touch with everyone.
Moreover the apps such as excel, word and access r really great for when you are working (in my case writing assignments) on the move. Its impossible to write a whole essay or create a full spreadsheet on the blackberry as its too small and would take forever but I can access documents I have saved in my inbox and use the apps to tweak it. I also love that my contract – as with most contracts on blackberry came with unlimited push email and internet.. As I travel between london and buckingham every week or there abouts its essential for checking out train timetables, facebook, listen to music (has a 1 g memory card which can be upgraded)!!

The apps I use most are the blackberry maps – really great for navigating especially when your lost or looking for something in particular i.e a restaurant. I also love the blackberry to blckaberry messenger service which allows you to chat (like msn/yahoo) with other blackberry users for free and anywhere in the world – it also allows conferencing and i was on it last night chatting to 2 friends – one in nigeria and one in canada!! Talk about the world getting smaller!
Being a blackberry its not that user friendly I have to admit, it took me a few weeks to really get the hang of it, but once you do you will wonder how you ever managed without one before!! All my facebook, gmail, hotmail and SMS messages come straight into my phone inbox and makes comunnicating on the move a doddle.

The apps are pretty useful but some you have to pay for and are easier used on the computer than on a tiny blackberry. While I was used to using text prediction on my old phone I have found leanring to use the Qerty keyboard pretty easy to adapt to and there are new functions on my keypad I learn about every day.
The downside for me has be three features – one the lack of tones for blackberry messenger – you have to look out for the little red light on the top right hand side of the phone and there have been times when I will not have read message until 5 hours after it was sent!

Another place where the blackberry falls flat is the camera. Although 3.2 mgpixel is not bad for a phone as I am used to sony ericcson cybershot phones this paled in comparision and took a moment for the picture to reset. Deleting pictures is hard as they reamin on the phone as read-only files.
thirdly, I am dissapointed in the fact it doesnt have 3G although the internet is generally fast, occasionally it does hang or take a long time to load a page – in this respect the edge just doesn;t compare to the 3G phones in the market. The only 3G phone on blackberry to date is their bold. The bold wasn’t really an option as it was far too bulky for me and I didnt like the leather back.

All in all, it’s definetly a good buy the contract are reasonable and once you get the hand of all the features you will absolutely love the phone… I honestly wonder how I lived before the age of smart phoneage lol It is not strictly for business as I have found it just as useful more for communicating with friends and families all over the world, and great for those who move around/travel alot. I like the fat it doesnt have a touch screen (like the iphone) and have not had any experience with it crashing ir overheating so far (friends with iphone have had these problems).
The battery life is very long and I usually charge every other day – although some features do drain the battery somewhat in particular the blackberry instant messenger and bluetooth.

It looks alot nicer than previous blackberries and can be used comfortabley as a hand held. It also has brilliant reception and speaker clarity.
